Multiscale Fluid Mechanics Laboratory
Position: Post Doctorate
Multiscale Fluid Mechanics Laboratory (MFML, mfml.skku.edu) at Sungkyunkwan University, led by Prof. Jinkee Lee, is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the Postdoctoral fellow position in the area of fluid mechanics and transport phenomena. MFML excelling in a broad range of fields from macro, micro to nanoscale fluid mechanics was founded in 2012 funded by National Research Foundation and other government and industrial grant. MFML’s research focus is on transport phenomena in thermo-fluid area including high and low speed fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, microfluidics for colloid, emulsions, interfacial interactions, bubble dynamics and optical diagnostic techniques for micro/nano chemical and biological transport phenomena.
MFML’s motivation is to use nature inspired technology and apply it to advance scientific research to better and ease everyday lifestyle.
Candidates willing to pursue their postdoctoral work are encouraged to apply. The successful candidates will be a key part of a team that is developing and implementing biological and environmental sensors using paper fluidics, nature inspired fluidic device and actuator design, solid-liquid interfacial flow in low and medium Reynold’s number flow, instrumentation for environmental and energy devices, etc.
· Ph.D. in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Sciences or related discipline
· Knowledge of Mathematics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat and Mass transfer, Micro/Nano Technologies etc.
· Knowledge of Computational Mechanics(CFD) using C/C++ or Matlab.
· Knowledge of Labview will be helpful
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Interested applicants should send a CV with a cover letter, names of at least three references, and a summary of recent work. All applications should be submitted electronically (paperless process) as a single PDF document to:
